GRINDFEST day one starts with DAVID CRONENBERG’S eXistenZ which plunges into a surreal, bio tech future where virtual reality gaming blurs dangerously with real life.

When visionary game designer Allegra Geller becomes the target of assassins during a test run of her new organic game system, she and a reluctant marketing trainee are forced to jack into eXistenZ to uncover who’s hunting her—and why. As layers of reality peel away, the characters (and the audience) are left questioning what’s real, what’s programmed, and whether the game has already taken control.
