23 March 2026
Steven Spielberg turns 80 this year, and we’re celebrating one of the most important and influential filmmakers in Hollywood history with a special four‑film season. Few directors have shaped modern cinema the way Spielberg has: from unforgettable characters and groundbreaking storytelling to moments of pure awe that generations of audiences still talk about today. His films have defined genres, pushed technology forward, and shown us new ways of seeing adventure, childhood, history and the future.
To mark this milestone, we’ve chosen one film from each decade of his remarkable career. We begin with The Sugarland Express, his energetic first theatrical feature, followed by the powerful wartime drama Empire of the Sun. From there, we leap into the 1990s with the groundbreaking spectacle of Jurassic Park, and finally the 2000s with the moving, thought‑provoking sci‑fi tale A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Together, these films show just how wide Spielberg’s vision truly is.
